Profile of a Trainee

Trainees come into the traineeship to be trained to serve in gospel ministry. On their hearts is a desire to further their knowledge of the Bible and receive instruction on how to minister this knowledge to others.

Throughout their traineeship, trainees seek to use their newly acquired skills to  pass on the good news of the Gospel. They therefore become trainers, whilst still being trainees.

METRO trainees are to be people of a 1 Timothy 3 character, that is, bearing the characteristics that Paul outlines in his first letter to Timothy. They must be willing to commit two years to be trained and to serve in full time gospel ministry. They also must have been affirmed in their desire to pursue this training by their church.
